With WordPress, you have to use your own web host, like hostgator, to host your blog yourself. You will also have to buy a domain name, which you can get for less than $10.

Many find the idea of installing WordPress themselves intimidating. But most web hosts make the process extremely easy.

4. Monetize Your Blog

Sign up for a Google Adsense account, and place Adsense ads on your blog. Find some affiliate products in your niche, and post your affiliate link and a picture (if possible) in your sidebar.

There are many more ways to monetize your blog, but these are a good and simple place to start.

5. Post Daily

Make a post in your blog every day for the first two weeks. Later, you can reduce that to posting every other day, or a few times a week. But, starting out, you want to fill your blog with good, fresh content.
